Ysabel's Pink Angel's and SDSU Baseball - Nov, 2009

For the 2009-10 school yesar, AFE has partnered with SDSU's Baseball to visit one of our literacy program "Reading For Life" host schools to mentor 3rd & 4th graders. We were orginally introduced to Josh Chasse, one of SDSU baseball team's players that introduced AFE to Coach Gwynn who was excited with our partnership for this season. It has been a total success having these athletes come out to Joyner MicroSociety Elementary and read, mentor and have fun with the kids.

The SDSU Athletic Department donated 100 tickets to SDSU 2009 SDSU Football home games to students from Steve Gregory's SG Squad from Sunset Elementary & Laura G. Roidriguez Elemantry schools & AFE's Reading for Life literacy program as a reward for improved academics, citizenship & attendance.
