Marlon Shirley's "Champions in Life" Program is a mentorship based program. Marlon's belief in children from all walks of life is the foundation for who he has become. A multi Paralympic World Record holder, 2 time Paralympic Gold medalist along being the recipient of many awards which include: Role Model of the 21st century (given by the United Nations), 2003 and 2005 ESPY Award Winner, 2000 Olympic Spirit award recipient and many others that focus on his personal endeavors to be a Role Model and Mentor for people of all walks of life.
"Champions in Life's" goal is to provide mentorship opportunities for children in under privileged situations with focus on Foster Children and displaced children. "Champions in Life" also provides children the opportunity to learn various life principles important to Marlon's success as an athlete and a person. Such principles are Team Work, Goal Setting, Preserving, Dedication, Becoming a Role Model, along with many others.
Other Goals of "Champions in Life" provides a Life's Journal in which the kids will write papers on various subject important to finding success in their lives as well as helping other find their true potential. Physical activity is a strong focus as well. Marlon's focus on helping battle childhood obesity in which he believe as do many other is truly the biggest disability in children in America.
