Athletes for Education Mission Statement

Athletes for Education (AFE), a 501(c) (3) organization, provides opportunities for professional athletes, entertainers & local community & business leaders to develop programs to help them realize their dreams of “giving back” to their communities. AFE accomplishes this for our clients by assisting them in creating, maintaining and managing mentorship programs unique to their outreach goals.

While focusing on youth, AFE’s athlete’s mentorship & scholarship programs encompass positive messages, incentives and rewards, as well as hands-on mentorship. AFE’s athlete’s mentorship programs are designed to work in collaboration with school facilitators to teach life skills & team building exercises designed to improve literacy, school attendance; excellent citizenship and promote healthy lifestyles. AFE's partnership with athletes facilitate community involvement and produce successful life changing outreaches while making dreams come true for the populations we serve.

Our Vision
AFE proudly provides incentive programs to teach youth that perseverance & diligence through hard work produces rewards. We encourage youth to reach life goals by developing self-confidence, self-esteem, teamwork and discipline. Our mentorship programs & special events support and reward at-risk youth from disadvantaged areas. Our goal is to establish lasting life skills that will return as an investment in our youth and our community.

Core Values

  • Teach team work, discipline and life skills
  • Embracing health and Wellness
  • Appreciation for rewards associated with efforts
  • Meeting goals by building self-confidence
