Greg Camarillo visits Vanguard Learning Center in Compton, CA
"My name is Charles Burton and I am a student-athlete on the basketball team at Vanguard Learning Center in Compton, CA. Charging Forward motivates me to do my best in every class so that I can attend the field trips. Recently, on Wednesday, January 20th, 2010, I was accepted to go on the trip with 20 other student athletes from my school. On that night we drove off in a nice limo, which had beat!
The ride was very amazing, but when we got to the restaurant I was even more amazed. I was very excited to eat at the Bonaventure Brewing Co. which is in the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. It was great! I got to eat Clam Chowder and a humongous bacon cheeseburger. After dinner, we went to go see the Clippers play against the Chicago Bulls. At halftime, we got to meet the Clippers players as they ran out of the locker room for the second half. I was shocked because the players were taller than I ever thought they would be.
After it was over, I was mad because I never wanted to leave. This day was one of the most incredible days of my life and I wish it would have never ended."
