Alana Ethridge: Alana Achievers: Fox TV Show Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?

Alana Ethridge - Alana's Achievers

Born May 18, 1997, you probably know her best as one of the original class members from the hit Fox TV Show "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?"

Alana's Achievers has been set up for two main reasons:

The first is to help young kids between the ages of 4 and 16 achieve their dreams and help set positive goals in life. We will reward those working hard: to keep their grades up, perfect attendance, good citizenship. Whatever is in our power to make their journey a little bit easier, whether it monetary or mentorship we hope to play a big part in their road to their personal stardom.

"I have been very fortunate to be able to pursue my dream to be an actress, my career has provided me the opportunity to have been cast a hit TV show, and meet many famous people, gone to really cool events, and given back to my community. None of this would have ever been possible without the support and love from my family and friends.”

Secondly Alana's Achievers will focus on promoting the importance of a good education and a healthy lifestyle. Our goal is to reach out to our youth and keep them focused on education, eating healthy and getting exercise.

“I believe acquiring self-esteem and self-confidence, comes from having a support system which will help you be successful in life! When a person feels good about himself or herself, they will believe they can reach beyond the stars and can do anything they put their mind to. This great feeling includes being healthy by eating a balanced diet and exercising. I look forward by challenging kids to be not only physically but mentally strong as well.”

Local former ‘5th Grader’ offers scholarships to youth

Somewhere between a full-time public school schedule, soccer games and volleyball practice, and commuting between San Diego and Los Angeles for auditions, 12-year-old Alana Ethridge finds time to give back.

The soon-to-be seventh grader and aspiring actress is offering 20 $50 scholarships to help local disadvantaged youth cover the cost of after-school programs. Youth have until the end of August to apply...
